Notice of FedEx Rate Increase
Dear Customers, Please be informed that, effective November 15, FedEx has increased shipping rates by several percent for all destinations. As has happened in previous years, FedEx implements annual price increases. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to follow these adjustments, and we kindly ask for your understanding. Thank you very much for your continued support of Proshop Otsuka.
Dear Customers, Please be informed that, effective November 15, FedEx has increased shipping rates by several percent for all destinations. As has happened in previous years, FedEx implements annual price increases. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to follow these adjustments, and we kindly ask for your understanding. Thank you very much for your continued support of Proshop Otsuka.
Important Notice for U.S. Customers: Handling Fee Increased Due to Trump Tariff
As you may already know, the Trump Tariff has officially taken effect.
According to the initial documentation, the import duty rate for fishing tackle was stated to be 4.5%, so starting in October, we have been collecting a 4.5% handling fee from our U.S. customers and paying the import duty to FedEx on your behalf.
However, since the new system started operating, FedEx has been billing us for import duties closer to 20%, not 4.5%.
After inquiring with FedEx, we learned that the actual duty rate is 15%, and there are also additional minor processing fees that are being charged to our store.
Therefore, we sincerely apologize for another change, but starting November 10, we will increase the handling fee for U.S. customers to 15%.
Please note that this means you will not need to pay any customs duties directly to FedEx, as our store will continue to pay them on your behalf.
Please understand that this policy may change again in the future depending on FedEx’s billing system or U.S. customs regulations.

Notice of Increase to the Temporary Shipping Fee
